Increase Intensity for Better Muscles

If you’re working on building more muscles, and maybe getting rid of fat while you’re at it (or not), you need to keep your workouts intense!

Crank up your muscle-building

If you’re not giving your muscle building everything you have—as in all of your focus, attention, and energy, you’re not utilizing an intense muscle-building program.

Increasing the intensity you lift weights with increases the results of what weight training can do for your body. Build up your muscles by working them. Push them to build them.

Tips for Success

Here are some great tips to gain more muscles and get a better body out of your workouts:

1. Work in Super Sets.
Don’t be weak by taking rests in between sets. Use a combination of exercises to work out all the different major muscle groups—without resting in between.

Work one part of your body through one repetition, then immediately switch to a different muscle set. Try going from the dumbbells to pull-downs, to working the chest muscles—without a break.

Just by making this simple change can intensify and heighten your results and effects you’ll see from your muscle building.

2. Interchange muscle workouts with aerobic exercises.
In between sets of resistance training, and muscle routines, add in some form of an aerobic exercise whether it’s by adding in calf raises, or by jumping on the treadmill for a few minutes. Keep things burning for more intensity and better reactions within your body.

3. Push your body in every workout.
Increase your workouts every time you head to the gym. For the best reactions within your body you must mentally prepare yourself to take your body harder and farther through every workout.

4. Activity isn’t intensity.

Just because you show up to the gym and do a full set of pull-ups, then switch to work on your biceps for a bit, doesn’t mean you’ll get the effects on your muscles and your body you’re looking for.

Each activity requires intensity, focus, and your full attention on whichever muscles you’re working on. Make a full commitment.

5. Make your time count.
Don’t let your weight training sessions run longer than an hour. But make sure you’re pushing yourself for that entire hour and getting the most out of it you can. Having longer training sessions aren’t necessarily more productive. But by increasing the intensity of the time you spend, you can make some dramatic results.

Make your efforts count. Perform your muscle enhancing and building workouts like you mean business. By improving and increasing the intensity with more focus and attention, you can really help your body to build more muscles.
